BOSII multi-screen product connection method

BOSII Laptop Screen Extender system offers dual-screen and triple-screen configurations. Each display unit operates independently without integrated serial connectivity, maintaining our lightweight design philosophy by omitting centralized integrator hardware.

Connection Requirements:

  • Per display unit requires simultaneous power + video signal input

  • Two connection methodologies:

Method A: Unified Interface
• Compatible with USB-C/Thunderbolt™ 3/4/5 ports supporting DP Alt Mode
• Single USB-C to USB-C cable satisfies both power and signal transmission

Method B: Split Interface
• Requires separate HDMI (video) + USB-A/C (power) connections
• Mandatory dual-cable configuration

Power Management Advisory:
Thin-client devices may encounter 5V/3A power limitations. Sustained multi-screen operation requires:

  • AC power adapter connection to display units, OR

  • High-capacity PD-compliant power bank (>65W recommended), OR

  • Thunderbolt™-certified docking station with ≥100W power delivery

Operational Note:
All display modules contain independent power switches, usually next to the screen interface or at the top of the screen.(3-second hold activation). Units may enter hibernation mode during power deficits - reactivation requires manual power cycling post-connection.

Technical Clarification:
While optimized for laptop compatibility, these units maintain standard monitor functionality compatible with any HDMI/DP-enabled host device. Enhanced portability derives from integrated cable storage and magnesium alloy chassis construction.
